Vivian Magarino-Gomez, NBCT
Trained as an art therapist and educator specializing in early child development, I joyfully teach art with a strong focus on an integrated experience of education (S.T.E.A.M.), social/emotional learning, and artistic development. I started out in the mental health field working in a wide variety of settings with at-risk children, many of whom had experienced severe abuse, drug addiction, and gang involvement.
I became an art teacher because I believe that education is our children’s most empowering hope to govern their own lives despite any hardships. More specifically, I’m convinced art is key to accessing the whole child. I am nationally board certified and teaching for the last 16 years.
